    • WONIK’s Future Business Division was born with the necessity of export and finding new businesses from the existing business structure focused on import and sales, distribution of medical devices and industrial raw materials. A total of three teams belong to the Future Business Division; BD Team (Business Development); Export Team in charge of exporting INNOJECTOR, the medical device for dermatology procedures and 'TheRay', the dental handheld X-ray; Marketing Team conducting marketing businesses throughout 'WONIK'. 

      In the afternoon of April 3, the employees of the Future Business Division that we met at WONIK Building introduced their department as "the division that creates the future growth projects for WONIK and pursues more advanced future". In order for a company to be competitive and sustainable, it needs challenging and aggressive attitudes to prepare for the future one step ahead. In this context, according to them, the Future Business Division is formed for WONIK’s new growth and future.

       

      Lee SY, the head of the Future Business Division, said on that day, "There was a limit to WONIK’s existing businesses focused on import and sales. Consequently, the Future Business Division has been born to improve the overall business model, including securing new growth engine by finding new businesses based on emphasis on the necessity of export.” He also said, "There has not been a team in charge of official export services since WONIK's establishment but the Export Team has been doing a good job in exporting INNOJECTOR and achieved great results.”

       

      In this way, WONIK’s Future Business Division launched 'INNOJECTOR' in Hong Kong, Thailand and Japan last year and now aims at China and Southeast Asia, Arab countries and Europe, etc. In particular, in China, they have established a joint venture called ‘Wonik & Harmony’ and are working on the CFDA certification. In January, they participated in the Arab Health Exhibition (Arab Health), the medical equipment fair held in Dubai and discovered the possibility of the Middle East and Southeast Asian markets.

       

      Sean Yu, the Export Team Leader said, "We are participating in many exhibitions to expand the networking. Fortunately, we are glad that we have achieved good results in each exhibition." He aslo said, "Southeast Asia, Europe and the Arab are also showing a lot of interest in our products. And now we are in the process of final discussion with the distributors in India, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, etc. We expect that the exports will become more active once the Chinese certification(CFDA) is obtained after the third quarter of this year."

       

      The company which had imported overseas medical equipment and distributed to the domestic market has made a full-fledged entry into overseas markets under the name of WONIK, it is also true that the employees of the Future Business Division have a burden from new tasks and challenges. In addition, since they are busy with works and the Export Team travels overseas a lot on business, there has not been much opportunity to get together recently. Nonetheless, the members of the Future Business Division are always moving toward their goals together, encouraging each other with positive energy.

       

      Lee SY, the head of the Future Business Division, said "I would like to gather together to participate in cultural activities such as watching baseball, exhibitions and camping, etc. but recently, there have not been many opportunities for gathering. As everyone is busy, we are trying to communicate through gentle methods and reduce stress as much as possible by having a get-together at lunchtime or asking after each other at the meeting on Monday morning, etc.” Helena Lee, the head of the BD Team, said, “The teams are assigned different tasks and are engaged in their works so they sometimes become a bit estranged. However, we are encouraging each other for win-win results since everyone recognizes that the role of the Future Business Division is important."


       

      Especially, the Export Team is making great memories despite the busy schedule while traveling abroad. The employee, James Baek's goal is to try on traditional costumes of all foreign countries where he travels for business. Recently, he conducted the training for dealers in Dubai with local costumes. Sean Yu, the Export Team Leader said, "I am amazed at the enthusiasm and passion of James Baek. He works so hard and furthermore, his attitude of learning about the culture of each country captivated the partners.”

       

      Meanwhile, WONIK’s Future Business Division has new employees. First of all, Lee Min-Kyung, who is working in the Marketing Team since she joined the company through the 3rd public recruitment, said, "In the midst of busy schedule, everyone has helped me get used to the company. "I often have teatime conversations with the department head, Park Jong-Han.

      Now, I am in the process of mentoring with the head of department, Helena Lee and Noh Bo-Kyeong who is my senior from the 2nd public recruitment. In addition, Lee SY also presented a novel called ’La vie devant soi’ to congratulate me on joining the company. All of these people were so nice to me that I was able to get adjusted at work quickly without the burden of my first job.”

      Meanwhile, the assistant manager of the Export Team, Hur Sung-Min said, "I have been in the company for a week now, I really like the atmosphere and energy of the Future Business Division. I will do my best to find my place as soon as possible and achieve good results in my job. "


       

      Park Jong-Han, the head of the Marketing Team, said, "The Future Business Division has a very friendly atmosphere. I hope that the newly joined employees can freely talk about their opinions any time and make life enjoyable. We will continue to carry out various activities to gather opinions of all members and communicate with them in the future."​
